Live tweeting or social media coverage of the trial
Choose a character:
Scout
Jem
Dill
Mayella
Maycomb Reporter, Braxton Underwood
Choose a format:
Twitter
Facebook
Instagram
Let's pretend that all of our characters have smart phones and are capturing the trial from their perspective. Start at the beginning of the trial and create about 3 posts per witness. Include a post reacting to Atticus's closing argument as well.
Witnesses:
Sheriff Heck Tate
Bob Ewell
Mayella Ewell
Tom Robinson
You will develop the persona for your character - what is their username? Who would they tag in posts? You can use photos from the internet of the movie.

Perspective
How might not being able to understand someone else’s perspective lead to problems? What can someone do to try to understand someone who has a perspective different than their own?
Can you describe someone in school or your family that has a different perspective than you? What is their perspective and how is it different from yours? What kind of experiences do you think they have had that would give them this different perspective? How could trying to understand their perspective be helpful? Make an allusion to the novel To Kill a Mockingbird, a quote or a summary.

Recluse
Nobody knew what form of intimidation Mr. Radley employed to keep Boo out of sight, but Jem figured that Mr. Radley kept him chained to the bed most of the time. Atticus said no, it wasn’t that sort of thing, that there were other ways of making people into ghosts.” (p. 14)
Imagine if Jem said, what do you mean? Answer that question.
Explain the other ways people can be made into ghosts.
